Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ): SKATEBOARDS
What kind of wood quality do you have for the boards you source?
We have from full Canadian maple boards, to birch wood decks, all of them on 7 plies.
Can I mix materials to improve the unit cost for my decks?
Yes, if you need to reach a target you can make a combined board, mixing Canadian maple and birch wood. This is typically made with four middle plies in birch and the bottom and top plies in Canadian maple.
What kind of skateboard construction can you offer?
We have the regular cold press, hot press, and the premium EPOXY construction for those who are seeking a high-end product.
Can you do longboards?
Yes, we can make bamboo, maple and birch longboards.
What kind of wheels can you source?
We have regular wheels from 99 to 101 A, and the newer wheel materials from 50 to 55D. We also make longboard wheels.
How many colors can I add to my wheel graphics, and what are the costs?
There is no color limit, but just like with boards, each color is a separate template with an individual cost. We make pad printing applications and heat transfers as well.
What kind of bearings can you source?
We have bearings from ABEC ratings 3 thru 9. You can choose rubber or metal shields, or one side covered shield and the other one open for easy cleaning.
Can I do my own brand on the bearing shield?
Yes, you can make it on rubber or metal; you only need to pay for the template.
Do you make complete boards?
Yes, we make full complete skateboards from Canadian maple or birch wood. This is one of the top selling items. Prices are very convenient especially for retailers.
How do I send my skate decks and wheels graphics?
Ideally in Adobe Illustrator, but .PSD or .PDF files also work.
Does the price of the deck vary according to the number of colors on the graphic?
Yes. You also need to pay for each color template separately. This means that if you have a 4-color graphic you need to pay for 4 templates, one for each color. For pricing send us an email thru our contact form.
Can I add dyed color plies to my board, and will this affect the board total cost?
Yes, you can add as many as you want - usually it is the top and middle plies. This will slightly increase the overall board cost, however.
How is your griptape quality, and can I add my own brand on the back paper, or die-cut on the surface?
Our griptape source is from Taiwan, and it has great grip and abrasion. To give you an idea, we could compare it to the brand Jessup. Good grip, but not too rough so that your shoes are destroyed quickly. We also count with a lesser grade griptape for those who seek competitive pricing. You can place your own brand on the back paper or surface; you only need to pay for the additional template costs.
